MedEntry AI (Mai) Just Got Even Better!

We're thrilled to announce a series of major updates to Mai, our AI-powered learning assistant. Mai has been designed exclusively for MedEntry students to help elevate their UCAT preparation and improve UCAT skills like never before.
Previously, Mai was a UCAT chatbot, primarily used to help students efficiently navigate MedEntry’s Online Learning Platform. This included suggesting strategies for tackling UCAT subtests or question types, providing advice on how to approach UCAT preparation, and offering tips on how to improve.
Now, we’ve significantly expanded Mai’s capabilities, integrating it more deeply into other areas of the platform to provide even more detailed and personalised support.
What’s New:
Understanding UCAT questions and solutions
The most exciting update is Mai’s ability to understand, interpret and provide advice on individual UCAT questions. After completing a practice attempt—whether in the QBank, a subtest mock, or a full UCAT practice exam—you can now discuss specific questions and solutions with Mai during your review.
Mai can:
- Break down complex solutions step by step
- Help you grasp the underlying concepts behind each question
- Provide additional explanations and context beyond the solution
- Recommend techniques specific to the time pressured environment of UCAT
Individual Exam Feedback
Struggling to pinpoint how to improve in a particular exam attempt? You can ask now Ask Mai for feedback on your exam performance.
Mai will:
- Provide insights into your overall performance
- Summarise data on your best-performing subtests and question types
- Share personalised recommendations for improvement, with links to relevant learning resources
- Offer feedback on timing, efficiency and test-taking strategies
Intelligent Analytics Feedback
Mai can also interpret your performance, including overall and subtest-specific, along with trends over time. On the ‘Analytics’ page, you can ask Mai for a summary of your progress. Mai will analyze your strengths and weaknesses and offer actionable next steps. If you're unsure how to improve or what to focus on next, Mai provides practical advice tailored to your needs.

Mai is integrated into the MedEntry online learning platform for every user, with different usage limits depending on your package:
- Free Trial: 5 prompts
- Essentials Package: 10 prompts
- Premium Package: 500 prompts
- Comprehensive Package: 1000 prompts
- Mai add-on pack: 500 additional prompts
