New UCAT Feature To Help With Timing

6 years ago by Robert
Most students would agree: by far the hardest part of UCAT is the timing. Very few students are able to complete every UCAT question within the time limits. In fact, every year in some subtests of the live UCAT, 1/5 of students run out of time to even make a random guess!
Understanding of time management in UCAT is therefore essential. MedEntry makes this easy with personalised UCAT data analytics. After completing a UCAT exam, you will be provided with the following information:
- The time you spent on each UCAT question
- The average time spent on the UCAT question for those students who answered the question correctly
- The percentage of students who spent less time than you on that UCAT question
So how does the UCAT timing feature work?
When you review a completed UCAT exam on the LMS, you will find along the bottom data relating to your UCAT time management. The squares in green indicate that you got that particular UCAT question right, whereas red indicates that you got the question wrong. The number within the square shows the time you spent on that UCAT question in seconds.
This will help you see at a glance your overall time management for that UCAT subtest.
Below the question you will also find additional information relating to your time management for that particular UCAT question. It will tell you the average time spent on the UCAT question for those students who answered the question correctly. It will also tell you the percentage of students who spent less time than you on the UCAT question.
This data will help immensely in understanding your own UCAT time management, and adds to the personalisation of the UCAT platform for our students.
All MedEntry students are provided with extensive advice and strategies on optimising time management in UCAT, both on our online platform and at the workshop. Enrol in one of our UCAT packages now to get ahead!
