GCSE Requirements
GCSE Requirements for St George’s, University of London are:
- Maths - Grade 6 minimum
- English - Grade 6 minimum
- Science - Grade 6 minimum in Double or Triple award science
- Other requirements - 5 GCSEs at grade 6 minimum
GCSEs are not scored. Only minimum requirements needed
A-levels or Scottish Higher requirements.
A levels: AAA including Chemistry and Biology/Human Biology. General Studies and Key Skills not accepted. Offers may range between A*AA - AAA.
International Baccalaureate
Overall score of 36 with 18 points at higher level including minimum grade 6 in Biology and Chemistry. At Standard Level, a minimum score of 5 must be attained in Maths and English Language, if at least a B grade has not previously been attained in GCSE Maths and English. Both Analysis & Approaches and Applications & Interpretations are accepted. English A and B both fulfil the English Language requirement.
Graduate Applicant Degree Requirements
St George's offer a four year Medicine MBBS programme for graduate applicants, however graduates can also apply for the standard five year course. The requirements are as follows: A UK upper second class (2:1) honours degree in any discipline and any subject. Or, a UK postgraduate degree completed with a passing grade in any discipline and any subject along with an undergraduate degree at 2:2 honours or higher in any discipline and subject. Graduate applicants do not need to fulfil the GCSE requirements.

Widening Participation
Applicants who attend a school or college in England which is on St George's Adjusted Criteria List (i.e. is a non-selective state school with an average ‘A’ Level grade of C- or below, or one that is in the bottom 40% in England for progression to Higher Education) may be eligible to receive an adjusted A-Level offer.
